This product is intended for large industrial round parts that start from a forged solid disc rather than a fabricated plate or ring structure. It is suitable for covers, heavy end plates, rotor-related parts, blind components, and custom round bodies in power, petrochemical, and heavy equipment applications. The forging route allows the customer to begin with a dense and reliable preform for subsequent machining. Disc-type forgings of this class are often purchased when the customer needs a solid circular preform with better section integrity than plate cuttings or cast alternatives can provide. Typical downstream operations include turning, boring, facing, balancing, and profile machining for heavy round parts, rotor components, covers, or other functional discs. According to the application, the blank can also be arranged with rough machining, heat treatment, and inspection so that later finishing work starts from a more stable forged base.
