A Spectacle Blind is a line isolation component used in piping systems to provide positive shut-off during maintenance, inspection, or process changeover. It consists of a solid blind end and an open ring end connected by a web, allowing operators to switch between flow service and line blanking as required.
Compared with a standard blind flange, a spectacle blind is not intended to act as a conventional end flange. Instead, it is typically installed between flange connections in process piping systems where visible and reliable line isolation is required. This makes it widely used in refineries, petrochemical plants, power stations, and other industrial piping networks.
We can supply spectacle blinds in forged carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, and other specified materials. Available production can be based on ASME B16.48, project standards, or customer drawings. Products may be supplied as forged blanks, rough machined pieces, or finished spectacle blinds depending on dimensional and service requirements.
