Description

Product Overview

Forged Disc Blank is used where a forged circular blank is preferred for dimensional stability, material homogeneity, and lower downstream risk. The part is usually purchased with enough stock for drilling, facing, boring, or pattern machining so that the customer can maintain machining accuracy without sacrificing the forged structure.

Forged disc blanks are purchased as stable circular preforms for covers, support parts, heavy machined discs, and rotating components. They give the customer more confidence in internal soundness and dimensional stability than flame-cut or plate-based blanks.

Key Advantages

Consistent Circular Blank Quality — Forged discs and tube sheets provide a more stable material base for heavy machining than plate-based alternatives.

Thickness and Face Control — The forging route supports better thickness consistency and usable facing stock for machining-critical parts.

Pressure-Equipment Suitability — Tube sheet and heavy-disc products can be supplied for exchanger and vessel projects that require documentation and NDT support.

Machining Stock Optimization — Rough-machined options help customers shorten downstream cycle time and reduce setup risk.

Project-Specific Materials — Carbon steel, Cr-Mo, stainless, duplex, and other project materials can be supplied according to drawing and specification.

Typical Applications

• Heavy circular machined parts

• Covers and support discs

• Equipment blanks

• General disc machining programs

Supply Scope and Inspection

Forged Disc Blank can be supplied as a forging blank, heat-treated forging, rough-machined forging, or semi-finished part according to the customer’s process route. Where the project requires closer dimensional control, additional OD/ID/facing, journal, bore, or drilling work can be incorporated before shipment.

For inspection-sensitive orders, Yongxinsheng can coordinate ultrasonic testing, MT/PT where applicable, PMI, hardness checks, mechanical testing, marking, EN 10204 3.1 documentation, and third-party witness arrangements. This makes the product suitable not only for general industrial procurement but also for project-based orders with stricter quality-document requirements.
