Pressure Vessel Ring Forging

Pressure vessel ring forgings are used for heavy pressure equipment where ring soundness, section stability, and reliable heat-treatment performance are required.

Description

These forgings are typically applied in pressure vessel shells, heavy flanged sections, support rings, and other cylindrical pressure components. The manufacturing objective is to obtain a ring with good internal quality, stable cross-section, and machining allowance suited to vessel fabrication. Materials and heat-treatment routes can be selected according to the service environment, including high-temperature, low-temperature, or general industrial pressure applications.  In vessel fabrication projects, ring forgings are often selected when the section is too heavy or the service condition is too demanding for fabricated alternatives. Typical purchasing concerns include internal soundness, heat-treatment uniformity, machining allowance, and the ability to meet material requirements for pressure-containing service. Where required, the ring can be supplied with identification marking, ultrasonic testing, rough machining, and supporting documentation for project review or further manufacturing control.
